Donna Rossetti-Bailey graduated from Boston University’s School of Fine Arts in 1974 and taught an award-winning art program in the Rockland Public Schools for twenty-three years. She retired from public school teaching, and now teaches pastel and drawing classes at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, North River Arts Society and independently in the Marshfield area. She also instructs workshops at art organizations and in schools.

She holds memberships in many local and national art associations including Signature Membership in the Connecticut Pastel Society and Pastel Society of Cape Cod; Artist’s Memberships in The American Artist’s Professional League, and the Cape Cod Art Association; Gallery Artist at the South Shore Art Center and Juried Associate Membership in the Pastel Society of America.

She has worked closely with Terry Ludwig Pastels of Colorado and has created the Donna Rossetti-Bailey Custom Set of 30 Pastels. These are some of her favorite colon in a square, highly pigmented soft stick, now available for purchase.

Donna’s painting, Marsh River Reflections, won the Best of Show Award at The North River Arts Society Calendar Show and will appear on the cover of their 2008 Art Calendar. Sunrise at Humarock Reach was awarded an Honorable Mention at the 2007 Duxbury Juried Winter Show. Williowbrook Revisited won Best of Show in the 90th Annual Duxbury Midsummer Show held August 2007.

The beauty of nature, the weather and the transitions of the seasons are the inspiration for Donna’s pastel paintings, which have won many honors and juried awards. She has lived on the South Shore for thirty-three years, where she paints the places she knows and the places she has traveled. Her landscape paintings invite the viewer to experience the world through her eyes.
